Disciples of Jesus Christ. Are we?

http://renrutkram.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/cross_follow
Matthew 16:24
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Hi there people. Today I’d like to talk about the core meaning of being a disciple of Jesus. Many people nowadays are so confident and call themselves the disciples of Christ without really knowing the core of being His disciple. And so now, I really wish that the food that I am about to give can refresh your mind with the truth from the Bible.

Most of the times, we often thought that the best school and also the most expensive school is better for our children or loved ones. They would guarantee their success. But the truth was not like that. Those expensive education and the amount of money that we have doesn’t guarantee the success of our lives. I’m not talking about rich-success here. I’m talking about Godly-success. We may be successful in our career, studies, or even in our ministries. But does that mean we are successful before the Lord Almighty? The Bible said:

Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Furthermore, the moral of this world is also declining. This disease is affecting the world even worse now, and it quickly affect the Christianity as well. And so, as the disciples of Christ, we should have looked into the bible and set our standard there so that we won’t be carried by the waves.

Jesus said that if any man would come after Him, he or she must deny him/herself and take up the cross. This means that we must give our whole life to live for Christ and not follow what we want or we will; but it should be what the Lord wants and what He wills. And so in our career, studies, or ministries, do we do the will of the Lord? Or do we do our own will? What’s the will of the Lord?

John 15:10-17
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
These things I command you, that ye love one another.

In everything that we do, we should do it with love for our brothers and sisters at work or at ministries. And in everything that we do, we should do it with our best effort as if we do it for the Lord Himself because He has chosen us so that we may bring forth fruit, and with that fruit, we will glorify the Lord and proclaim his goodness to the entire world. Since the beginning of time, our purpose in this world are to minister, to be His disciples, and to proclaim the glory and goodness of Him to the world. It doesn’t matter whether you are a businessmen, or a student, or a preacher. Do whatever your works are so that you may glorify Him. But also remember to have love in whatever you do because nothing is for good when we do anything without love.

One example of a disciple that didn’t submit to His Lord’s will was Peter.

Matthew 16:21-23
From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Peter was probably just trying to help, and this would mean he was lack of understanding. But I say that Peter was trying to show himself off that he is capable of saving Jesus from the elders of Jerusalem; and thus, rebuking the will of his Lord. I can say this because in verse 23, Jesus called Peter a Satan, and He told Peter to get behind Him. This shows us that to be a disciple of the Lord, we need to stay behind our Master and not in front of Him. Let Jesus be the captain of our ship. Let Jesus be the problem-solver in our lives. Let Jesus be the main head in the house. Let Jesus be the boss in our works or businesses. Let Jesus be our main teacher in our studies, Let Jesus decides for our decisions in our lives. Let Jesus have all our lives. Let Jesus rule every aspects of our lives. We should apply this because our lives are not ours anymore, but our lives are His. He has redeemed us at the cross, replacing us in a beautiful exchange at the cross.

And learning from Peter’s mistake, we know that to be the disciple of the Lord, we also need to convert our mind concept and the way we think, and sync them with the mind and the way Christ think (Metanoia). Just as Jesus was behind the Father, we also should stay behind Jesus Christ. This also means that as the disciples of Christ, we should listen to Him, which is harder than it sounds (take Abraham’s case as an example of how difficult it can be sometimes) be obedient and loyal to Him in every circumstances no matter how harsh it will be, be responsible for our work He gave us in this world and also to be the salt and light of the world that can affect our surroundings so that people can see Christ in ourselves, and last but not least, we must be ready and stay close behind the Lord in every tests the world throws toward us.

I hope this can enlighten your mind and refresh your soul people 🙂

Don’t Forget About the Water from Him :)

http://picturesofjesus4you.com/images/jesus_washing_apostles_feet_parson_l.jpg

Hebrews 10:10

By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Now we live in the world of the New Testament. It is different with the Old Testament. Way back then before Jesus Christ came on earth to redeem us, mankind must offer sacrifices for a period of time so that their sins can be forgiven, but only until a certain period of time. After the period is over, mankind must offer sacrifices again. Sacrifices here can be a sheep, a cattle, a bird, etc. The sins mankind have committed would determine the size of the living sacrifice. The heavier the sin is, the bigger or the more expensive the sacrifice would be.

However, Jesus Christ has come to the world and He became the Living Sacrifice. The difference is that this type of sacrifice is only once for all, which means that our sins are being forgiven for ever. The Lord has forgiven all our sins because Jesus has taken our place up there at the cross. It should be us back then at the cross. But Jesus replaced us and became a Living Sacrifice for the Lord. The blood of Jesus has sanctified us forever. However, a lot of people only remember about the blood, but not about the Water.

John 19:34

But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

The Blood came out first, then the Water came along. The key to everything that I’m talking about is in this Water. To understand about this, let us read first.

John 13:3-10

Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God,

rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.

After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, “Lord, are You washing my feet?”

Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”

Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”

Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!”

Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.”

From verse 7, Jesus said that what He did at that time the disciples will know about it later on. This means that what Jesus did here was symbolic, and therefore, have meanings. From these verses, let us focus on some words such as “laid aside His garments”, “towel with which He was girded”, “poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet”, and “wipe them with the towel”.

He laid aside His garments as a symbol that Jesus arose from the dead. in this context, Jesus rose from supper in the Passover feast, and in every table at the Passover feast, there will always be a roasted lamb. This lamb represented Jesus when He was burned by the wrath of God at the Cross because Jesus has replaced us at the cross. And when He laid His garments, it means that He will rose from the dead.

The towel girded to Him means that Jesus is the High Priest, and He came to this world to minister.

He poured water and washed the disciples’ feet with it means that we all will be cleaned again and again, but not with blood anymore because blood of Jesus has sanctified us forever. But by Water.

Ephesians 5:25-27

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,

that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,

that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Water by the Word. So people, we need to be cleansed not by blood anymore because blood of Jesus has cleansed us once and for all, but by the Word of God. By the Water. Don’t forget to read your Bible everyday because this will cleanse your feet. We need not to clean our whole body with Water because we have been bathed by the Blood of Jesus and we are clean forever. But our journey in life will involve our feet, and sometimes dust and dirt may come to stick at our feet. This represents all our mistakes we may have committed in this life. But believe that we have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus forever and He has forgiven all our sins and mistakes. Do not be tricked by the devil. Devil may tricked you and condemned you for your mistakes. That’s why you need to be strengthened by the Word of God. By the Water.

And after Jesus washed the disciples’ feet, He wipe the feet with the towel. Just imagine if our feet were wet and we walk outside again. There will be more dirt and dust on our feet. This means that after we receive or hear His Word through this Bible for example, we must realize the truth that we have been forgiven through the sacrifice of Lord Jesus once and for all! We must also realize that our lives cannot be apart from the Word of God. Everyday we need His Word.

So, don’t be condemned by the devil. I don’t know how hard your lives are or what kind of problems you are having. But learn the truth, and let your feet be washed by His Water daily. Let His Word cleanses you daily, and you will enjoy living your Christian lives with Jesus (“If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”). Be refreshed my friends 🙂

Tradition and Philosophy? Hmm…

http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/150/2/8/Colossians_2_7_by_Draw4life.jpg

Colossians 2:6 – 10

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Today I want to talk about the fullness of Christ in our daily lives. Christ should be our one and most important priority in our lives. But sometimes, the reality says otherwise. We do believe in Christ Jesus. We do believe in His miraculous works. But sometimes, we also believe in other little things as well that can become our downfall without we realize it.

Let’s say that you come from a family that has a rich family tradition. This kind of family usually is an Asian family. The Asian people really have a rich family tradition like praying to the ancestors and the dead spirit, etc. And let’s say they repented and receive Christ as their Savior. But they still hold on to the family tradition to come to their parents or grandparents graveyard to pray for them or to give them burnt offerings. I myself had done this long time ago, and I felt kind of stupid after I know the truth in verse 8 about our living God Jesus. Check this out:

Job 7:9

As the cloud disappears and vanishes away, so he who goes down to the grave does not come up.

This verse means that once people died, their spirit cannot wander on this earth again. Those ghost stories about the spirit of the dead being back from the grave and was angry was not true because the Bible told us so in Job 7:9. Those ghosts are real, but they are not the spirit of the dead. They are the devils from the underworld, coming up to this world to deceive people of God from the truth by misguiding them with earthly tradition.

Also, certain philosophies can also become our downfall if we believe in them. Around the times of Jesus, there were lots of philosophies that were based on many different doctrines such as Gnosticism, Hedonism, Asceticism, etc. Gnosticism is an understanding where all kinds of polytheistic views come together. The people who follow this understanding call themselves a Gnostic. They really praise the realm of the gods and they felt that they have a super secret understanding that can brought them to heaven. This understanding was called Gnosis. And from this understanding, many philosophies are born.

Hedonism was an understanding where humans must only follow earthly joy and happiness. The Epicureans follow this Hedonism doctrine. The opposite from this doctrine is Asceticism where humans must have a great self-denial and refrain themselves from worldly pleasures. This is good, but this does not save us from eternal damnation! Only Jesus is the way to the Heaven.

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Of course there were still a lot of those doctrines and philosophies that I had not gone into, but the point is, don’t ever be tricked by those empty philosophical views! Many were misguided by those kinds of views around the times of Jesus.

And so, let us be full in Christ even in our daily lives. Be radical in Him and believe only to Him, the Living God Jesus. Check these out:

 Revelation 3:16

So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

 And,

Matthew 6:24

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

From the two verses above, we know that we should not be lukewarm by believing in Christ Jesus but also believe in earthly traditions and philosophies; because we cannot serve God and mammon at the same time! Choose God because He has sacrificed Himself for us at the cross. We are complete in Him, and in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Be refreshed 🙂

Who to Depend?

http://www.hopenowbiblechurch.com/.a/6a00d83535401169e20120a7366613970b-pi

Luke 16:19-31

“There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.

But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate,

desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.

And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

“Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’

But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.

And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’

“Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house,

for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’

Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’

And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’

But he said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’ “

Here, Jesus told a story where a rich man went to hell whilst the beggar went to heaven. Sometimes when people read this, they tend to misunderstood something. People tend to think that being rich means that the gate of hell is close, and being poor means heaven is close. People tend to think this because of verse 25 of this chapter. However, I want to tell you that it doesn’t work like that.

The beggar has a name while the rich doesn’t. This means something you know. Lazarus means “Depend on God”. The one thing that saved Lazarus from entering hell when he died is not because he was poor and suffer on this earth. The one thing that saved Lazarus is because he always depend on God. He didn’t depend on the rich man or anyone else. He depended on God alone.

The rich man doesn’t have any name, which means that he wasn’t like Lazarus who always depend on God. From verse 27 and 28, we know that this rich man was a good and caring man. Even though he was suffering in hell, he still remembered his family and wished so that they wouldn’t enter the same place as he did. This tells us that being kind or good on this earth doesn’t gives us guarantee to be saved from eternal damnation. Only God alone can save us, and so we depend on God to be saved. Check this:

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

and,

Matthew 8:28,29

When He had come to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass that way.

And suddenly they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”

We are saved because we believe in the Son of God, and from the above verses we know that the Son of God is Jesus Christ. At first, the one who proclaim that Jesus is the Son of God weren’t men, but spirits of demon. In the world or realm of spirit, we will know each other even if we haven’t met before. The example is in here:

Matthew 17:4

Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

This happened when Jesus and the three disciples went up to the mountain. Peter had never met Moses and Elijah but he immediately knew that the two of them were Moses and Elijah.

The only begotten Son. This means that the best that God have. And the best that God have is Himself! Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the LORD Himself, who came down to this earth and take the form of a Man. We believe that Jesus Christ has redeemed us by His sacrifice at the cross. His Blood has bring perfection to our lives so that our relationship with Father in Heaven, with the LORD, is right and flawless again. I hope this can help you in anyway, especially for those of you who are new to Christianity and haven’t get to know about these things. Be refreshed 🙂

Coming Back to the ‘Dust’?

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GBdp_fMaAR4/Tis3KhqXYJI/AAAAAAAAASM/q6N6VAAoygk/s1600/servant+leader+wash+feet.jpg

Isaiah 26:4-8

Trust in the LORD forever, For in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength.

For He brings down those who dwell on high, The lofty city; He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He brings it down to the dust.

The foot shall tread it down — The feet of the poor And the steps of the needy.”

The way of the just is uprightness; O Most Upright, You weigh the path of the just.

Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O LORD, we have waited for You; The desire of our soul is for Your name And for the remembrance of You.

Today I want to talk about being humble and depend on God instead of men. Most people only cried to God when they want something or when they are in a somewhat difficult situation. I’m not saying that it’s wrong. But, why don’t we start to ask, pray, talk, be who we are, and cried to Him in our everyday lives?

You see, people tend to forget God when they are blessed with whatever they need or want. When they forgot that they can be that successful because of God, they can be very arrogant. If we look at verse 5 above, I can say that the verse means that arrogant people, who forgot about God when God has helped them from the very bottom and claimed that his success was because of himself, will be brought down to the dust from where they were at the start.

But, trust in the Lord and He shall bring us up. Because He is our Strength. He is our Redeemer. He is our Savior. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. And for someone so big and powerful, He is so humble. So graceful and merciful. So loving towards us. We should learn from Jesus Christ our Lord. He even washed His boys’ feet! The Lord Jesus Christ did that! If the big and powerful Lord Himself is humble, then what are we that we act arrogantly as if we are capable to do anything by our strength alone? We are nothing without Lord Jesus you know. I am nothing without Him.

Our soul’s desire should be Him and the remembrance of Him. This will keep our soul from dehydrating you know. For He is the Living Water, and our souls crave for Him. Even though people doesn’t believe in God, their souls crave for The Living Water without them realizing it. That’s why a lot of people are tired and wasted spiritually, and this will eventually affect the bodies.

The remembrance of Him. Do you remember where this verse leads to? Check this one out:

1 Corinthians 11:23-26

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;

and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

And,

John 6:53-56

Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.

Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.

He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.

You see now? Trust God and He shall brings you up. This means we trust our Lord Jesus Christ, and the sacrifice He made at the cross for our salvation and welfare. Receive His sacrifice, receive His Flesh and Blood for His Flesh is Food and His Blood is Drink indeed. Not so hard right? It really is simple. For we must be like a child to enter the Kingdom of God. And to be like a child means that we just depend on God and stop worrying and thinking a lot about our problems in this life. In other words, be simple. Don’t focus on the problem but focus on the Answer.

And again, don’t ever forget that you can be who you are right now is only by the grace of God. If you are still down at the dust, believe that God’s plan for you is not the plan to make you suffer, but a plan to prosper you and to give you future filled with hope. May the Holy Spirit refreshes you 🙂

Still Condemned?

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3119/2734725477_ceb9314554.jpg

John 5:45

Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you — Moses, in whom you trust.

Today I want to talk about Father’s Love. He really loves us you know. If earthly fathers know how to give the best for their children, isn’t our Father in Heaven more than that? If animals know how to treat their offspring with care, isn’t our Dad in Heaven knows better than that? He’s deeply in love with us that He willingly gave Jesus Christ for us. Check this out:

John 3:16,18

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The words ‘only begotten’ here can indicate that God gave His best for us. And the best that God has is Himself through Jesus Christ. He will never accuses us for our mistakes if we believe in Him. He has redeemed us and forgave all of our sins with the power of His blood. He has sacrificed Himself at the painful cross, only thinking of our salvation and welfare. So that we won’t be condemned anymore by the devil, and by the law.

From all of the above verses, I can also say that we should not be lukewarm with this matter. It’s either we do all the Commandments (which is impossible for us) or we totally believe in Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. We can’t believe in Jesus Christ but at the same time we are condemned by the law. Remember, the impossible-to-fulfill law of Moses has been fulfilled by Jesus Christ. So, we are not under condemnation anymore. We live under His grace and mercy. This is the New Covenant in Jesus Christ. Remember this verse:

Revelation 3:16

So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

So, if you already believe and accepts Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, and yet you still do something that break His heart, don’t be condemned. It’s not sins anymore, but it’s trespasses or mistakes. I’m not saying that we are free to do whatever wrong things we like. I’m saying that whenever you make mistakes, don’t be condemned! Ask Jesus Christ to forgive your trespassing, and ask Him for His help to guide you so that you may not repeat the same mistakes anymore. Just ask Him; because He is your Greatest Dad Ever!

Through the law, we must obey everything without any breathing space. This makes it even harder for people to obey it. But with Christ’s Love and mercy, we can feel His hand support us when we fall. We can feel how He loves us, and that we are ashamed of all the things that break His heart because He is very good and He is a forgiving God. This can keep us from trespassing against Him and to break His heart ever again. You see. It’s a process. A whole big process so that we can be His ambassadors in this world and so that we can be transformed to be more like Christ in conduct and also in our ways of thinking.

Because He loves us, He will teach us and even slap us a bit when we wrong. But that’s for our own good. Just like a father that teaches his child. Our Father in Heaven is more than that. His plan for us is a plan to prosper and to give us future filled with hope. Be refreshed 🙂

So You Think being Brainy is Better? Um..

http://www.freefoto.com/images/05/40/05_40_5---The-Lord-gives-wisdom_web.jpg

Proverbs 4:7

Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

I want to talk about wisdom right now. Many people think that wisdom is just a common thing and it can be obtained by reading books or studying hard. This is a wrong understanding of what wisdom really is and how to get wisdom for your life. Wisdom first, then come understanding. Now take a look at this verse:

Job 12:13

” With Him are wisdom and strength, He has counsel and understanding.

Proverbs 2:6

For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;

These verses mean that we can only obtain wisdom from God. We cannot obtain it from all those books that we’ve been reading.

For example:

There was a certain doctor who was really good at his job. He knew how to treat the sick, and what were the unhealthy things in this world that could lead to a fatal effect on human’s body. Long story short, he knew that smoking was not good for his health, and it could even cause several severe illnesses like lung disease etc. Even though he knew the consequences, he didn’t care about it and kept on smoking.

The example above shows us that that person has no wisdom at all. It also shows that wisdom cannot be obtained by studying or reading books. The person from the example above is not a stupid person. He’s a very educated man and yet, he has no wisdom at all.

And so, from Job 12:13 we know that wisdom can only be gained from God. The procedure of obtaining wisdom from God is actually very simple. We all need wisdom in this life you know. And we can get it for free! Check this out:

1 Corinthians 1:24,30

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God — and righteousness and sanctification and redemption —

God has given us Lord Jesus Christ as our Wisdom in this life. He isn’t just the source of it, He is the Wisdom Himself. Wisdom is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ (Wisdom) lives in us and we lives in Him (Wisdom), His Word lives in us and whatever we ask in our prayer shall be granted.

John 15:7

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

And we can abide in Him by receiving His sacrifice at the cross. By receiving His Flesh and His Blood. He said that ask whatever we desire and it shall be done for us. We can take the example of King Solomon. When God said to Him to ask any of the things he desired, Solomon only asked for wisdom so that he could be a better ruler. God really like this and He gave Solomon the great wisdom, and He also add all the things Solomon didn’t ask like power and wealth.

1 Kings 4:29,30

And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore.
Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt.

Take a note of this. God gives wisdom first, and then all the things shall be added to you. When we have problems in our family, or with our job, studies etc, we are not having problems with all of those you know. The actual problem is that we lack of wisdom. We need wisdom in our daily lives. We need wisdom in our studies. We need wisdom in our marriages. We need wisdom in our relationships with our partners. So it means that we need Jesus Christ in everything we do. Do not ever forget Him, and don’t ever let your brain to be bigger than your faith. Ask Jesus for wisdom in any areas or aspects of this life that you have difficulties with, and be refreshed 🙂
