15). Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!
16). See, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are ever before Me.
Even though the whole world could not be bothered to look at you and just ignored every hard work that you ever done, there is One that never looks away from you.
Even though your boss or friends or partners underestimated you, with no respect or appreciation, do not be sad or feel that you are rejected.
Rely on Christ. Depend on Him. And He will give you the strength and joy that you need.
We probably think that we won’t prevail when the hardship comes or when the betrayal occurs. But when you are willing to open up your heart and mind, and let Christ have His way, you will find the joy and strength to surge out from within you, enough for you to stand and walk again to finish your day.
And even though your own mother or father or both have abandoned you since you were a child, there is One that will never forsaken you. His name is Jesus Christ. He is the Lord, and He is very real. He wants to reach out to you, and as long as you are willing to open up your heart and mind to believe in Christ, you will not regret it. Besides, you got nothing to lose.
Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you — Moses, in whom you trust.
Today I want to talk about Father’s Love. He really loves us you know. If earthly fathers know how to give the best for their children, isn’t our Father in Heaven more than that? If animals know how to treat their offspring with care, isn’t our Dad in Heaven knows better than that? He’s deeply in love with us that He willingly gave Jesus Christ for us. Check this out:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
The words ‘only begotten’ here can indicate that God gave His best for us. And the best that God has is Himself through Jesus Christ. He will never accuses us for our mistakes if we believe in Him. He has redeemed us and forgave all of our sins with the power of His blood. He has sacrificed Himself at the painful cross, only thinking of our salvation and welfare. So that we won’t be condemned anymore by the devil, and by the law.
From all of the above verses, I can also say that we should not be lukewarm with this matter. It’s either we do all the Commandments (which is impossible for us) or we totally believe in Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. We can’t believe in Jesus Christ but at the same time we are condemned by the law. Remember, the impossible-to-fulfill law of Moses has been fulfilled by Jesus Christ. So, we are not under condemnation anymore. We live under His grace and mercy. This is the New Covenant in Jesus Christ. Remember this verse:
So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
So, if you already believe and accepts Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, and yet you still do something that break His heart, don’t be condemned. It’s not sins anymore, but it’s trespasses or mistakes. I’m not saying that we are free to do whatever wrong things we like. I’m saying that whenever you make mistakes, don’t be condemned! Ask Jesus Christ to forgive your trespassing, and ask Him for His help to guide you so that you may not repeat the same mistakes anymore. Just ask Him; because He is your Greatest Dad Ever!
Through the law, we must obey everything without any breathing space. This makes it even harder for people to obey it. But with Christ’s Love and mercy, we can feel His hand support us when we fall. We can feel how He loves us, and that we are ashamed of all the things that break His heart because He is very good and He is a forgiving God. This can keep us from trespassing against Him and to break His heart ever again. You see. It’s a process. A whole big process so that we can be His ambassadors in this world and so that we can be transformed to be more like Christ in conduct and also in our ways of thinking.
Because He loves us, He will teach us and even slap us a bit when we wrong. But that’s for our own good. Just like a father that teaches his child. Our Father in Heaven is more than that. His plan for us is a plan to prosper and to give us future filled with hope. Be refreshed 🙂
He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.
Today I want to talk about love. Now love is a very popular word, especially among the youth. But, do you understand what love really means? I hope this post will be able to give you a better understanding about love.
What I get from the verse above is that we need to place God above anything else. We need to make God the number one priority in every aspects of our lives; including in our relationships with our partners.
In my opinion, relationship is like a triangle love. It’s between you, your partner, and God. Make God to be the top of the triangle, and you and your partner to be the 2 sides below. Take a note of this. The more you and your partner move closer to God (Top of triangle) the more you and your partner closer together. If you can’t visualize this, you can try to sketch it in a paper. This means that the more you and your partner love God and make Lord Jesus the first priority in your relationship, you and your partner will have a much better relationship and intimacy. This can happen because God is the one who guide the relationship. Just admit it guys. We can’t do anything right. But with God, nothing is impossible and He always does things right.
The best meaning of love is from these verses:
1 Corinthians 13:1-7
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
What beautiful verses here. Love is unconditional! Learn about what true love really means from these verses. When we love someone, we just want to see her happy, want the best for her, we want to protect her, love her, be with her, comfort her, encourage her, motivate her, see the smiles, wipe away the tears, and we bears and endures all things. Truly, God’s love towards us isgreaterthan all of that. We may not be able to love like God does, but at least we may have the same concept of love like Him.
Also, make God to be your number one in other areas of your life too. Love your God first in every situation and in every condition. When we do this, we are worthy of Him. Our working lives are worthy of Him. Our families are worthy of Him. Our relationships are worthy of Him. Our whole lives are worthy of Him. And when we are worthy of Him, He is there for us. For God’s plan for the worthy and for the one who loves Him is a plan to prosper, and to give you future filled with hope. Be refreshed 🙂
Thus says the LORD: ” Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the LORD.
When we look at this verse, we tend to think that this verse isn’t for us. We tend to think that we have trusted God with all we have and not trusting in other men for our source of strength, hope, and even salvation.
But, people also tend to forget that every little thing that happens in our lives can become our downfall in this verse. Try this for example:
Let’s just say you are a university student, and you have an important exams coming up. Of course you’re going to study a lot harder than before. But then, you only rely on your own wits and brain, and not counting in God for the exams. Of course you still have to study hard, but don’t ever forget to count on God for your studies. If you only rely on your own wits, your flesh is your strength. If this happens, you can get tired either physically nor spiritually. Just imagine when your body doesn’t get enough water. The body will be weakened. The same thing applies to your spirit, and the spirit craves food and water from Jesus Christ. Take a look at this verse:
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
And Jesus also said in John 4:14
but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
You see, that was just one example. There are still a lot of examples in our daily lives that can become our downfall. We should do our part as best as we can for God in every activities we do, and let God do His part in bringing strength and victory for us. Be very refreshed 🙂
and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place — unless you repent.
I want to share this to all of you, and also, especially, to those who have ministered Him at the church or elsewhere.
At first, serving Jesus and the congregation of the church seems to be a really pleasing thing to do. We do all the work with a joyful heart every Sunday, or probably for some other people, on week days also. All we want to do is more and more and more.
But then there will come a time where everything turns from beautiful and joyful into something routine and monotone; and as a result, we start to sigh in our hearts about the ministry and about all the people involved in our ministry. This happened to me after I served at the church every Sunday and on week days continuously for about three to four years. Everything turns to be boring and I was just doing any of the work so that I won’t get scolded by my leader or even to please them.
And then God scolded me and gave me the verses above that I’ve written. It’s not about what we do or anything. We are saved only because of His mercy and grace towards us, not our works. Also, it is useless for us to do all the labor for His sake without putting Love in it. We need to always remember and keep the First Love sensation in our ministry, and in our daily work. Remember, among faith, hope, and love, the greatest of these is Love. And also remember that when we minister at the church, just look and depend on God alone, not the people; because people will let us down but God will not. For it is written curse be the man who depend on other men.
For me, I always remember the feeling of First Love towards Him by always remembering His goodness and every bit of miracles He has done for me; starting from the smallest to the most incredible miracle that he has performed for the likes of me. And because He has showed Love and mercy towards me, I also shows love and mercy towards other people in my ministry. That’s what God wants. To love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might; and to love each other as you love yourself. Hope this will bless you in your daily work and ministry. Remember, always do all the work as if it is for God, and be refreshed 🙂
