The Power, The Promise, The Life

I just want to share some beautiful verses today with you guys. And, believe me, it’s a life-changing one!

1 Corinthians 11:23-26

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;

and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”

In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

John 6:51

I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

And:

John 6:53-56

Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.

Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.
He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.

Jesus’ flesh is real food and His blood is real drink! He died at the cross for us. He was pierced, crucified, and suffered at the cross so that we may receive His flesh and blood; that we may be saved from the torment He experienced. So that we may live healthily now and then. He said do this as a remembrance of Me. So, every time we have our Holy Communion, we remember His sacrifice at the cross. We remember that He replaced us back then so that we may not die horribly like that. And with this Holy Communion, we live in Him and He lives in us. His Word lives in us and whatever we ask in our prayers shall be granted by Father. But then do remember this verse as well:

Matthew 6:33

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

So, when you receive His flesh and His blood, understand that we proclaim His death till He comes! This Holy Communion has Power and devils are afraid of Jesus’ Blood. This is His Promise to each and everyone of us. This is the everlasting Life He offers! That through His sacrifice, through His Blood, we are saved and refreshed 🙂
